About us
The Oekostation is the educational centre for environmental awareness of
the Southern Upper Rhine - Environmental Protection of BUND (Friends of
the Earth Germany) regional association. It was founded for the Land’s
Garden Exhibition in 1986. Approximately 12,000 course and seminar
participants , pupils and children, participants of excursion, guided
garden tours, theatre performances and sunday activities visit the
Oekostation every year. The approx. 400 single activities per year are
organized and conducted by Oekostation Team.
The ensemble of buildings consists of the Oekostation as a Low-energy
house, an external natural terrain with a pavilion and the Organic
garden with medicinal plants garden, vegetable garden and summer house.
